Berkeley Almand

Berkeley Almand is a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at CU Boulder. She is currently working on developing inexpensive flux chambers to measure gas-phase dry deposition.  You can read more about her project here.

 

Before coming to CU, Berkeley received her B.S. and M.S. degrees at Colorado School of Mines. While completing her masters degree, she worked on developing ceramic heat exchangers for high-temperature energy applications, such as Solid-Oxide Fuel Cells and coal gasification plants. Her masters thesis is entitled Development and Testing or Ceramic Microchannel Heat Exchangers.

 

Berkeley is originally from Atlantic Beach, FL. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, skiing, scuba diving, surfing, and yoga.
